question by Trevor : an iPad Mini work on an airplane The Apple specs page it says the maximum operating altitude is 10,000 ft. Obviously, most aircraft much higher than that to But a lot of the reviews say things like, great for watching movies on a plane. So an iPad mini will not work on a plane Best Answer:
reply? If Apple says the max operation height of 10,000 ft, they say, if you are out there, or if you live in a high altitude location (eg Colorado). If your true in a plane you will be flying at about 30,000 ft, but set the cabin pressure, so its like your at about 1,000 ft. So, make it all, even an iPad Mini will work in an aircraft.
Question by DivaK: Is it important for your e reader to have all the bells and whistles or work great as an e reader?
I have been reading reviews on e readers and the negative ones are because the extra stuff doesn’t work as fast or like a computer or ipad. I want an ereader for the books I don’t collect not all the other stuff. What is most important the ones with all the bells and whistles or the ones that are good for ereaders and reasonable priced?
Answer by Ken Only buy an strict (E Ink) ereader if you’re into serious, long-run reading. For all other applications, the experience is disappointing, and the need is much better met with a tablet.
Here’s a run-down of the beyond-reading functionality of ereaders:
Notice that the LCD-based ereaders do much better at beyond-reader functions (but fair poorly in long-run reading). The Nook Color is a good choice if these other functions are more important to you. Higher-end tablets are another possibility:
But if you’re serious about reading, I’d recommend one of the E Ink Pearl ereaders:
